Maynard was the founding Commander of the 46th Recon Squadron from June 1946 - August 1948.

The picture I have is a 8x10 pic of the Kee Bird that a former co-worker took from a P-3 observation plane.It was taken before salvage work had started.

There is another possibility about where the Key Bird sat for that photo. In 1946 there was a static and flying exhibition at the De Haviland Air Field just north of Toronto. There were bombers and fighters, some British, some American and I had borrowed my father's camera for the event so if the Key Bird was there I might have taken the photo.
